The Happy Horsemen are looking for a creative, adaptable and fast-moving photographer/videographer to join our team and help document the culture, energy and personality across our venues and projects.

This role is heavily focused on social-first content creation across live music, nightlife, hospitality and events. From packed-out shows and backstage moments to food, drinks, artist content, interviews, venue promos and day-to-day storytelling - no two days are the same.

​

We’re looking for someone who can work quickly in fast-paced environments, think creatively on the fly and understands how to create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

​

To start you’ll be working across venues including The Brightside, Blute's Bar, O'Skulligans, Black Bear Lodge and future projects under The Happy Horsemen group.

​

The ideal person:

• Has experience in photography and videography

• Understands short-form social content and current trends

• Works well in live music, nightlife or event environments

• Can shoot and edit content quickly

• Is self-motivated, organised and adaptable

• Has a strong creative eye and attention to detail

• Works well in a team environment

• Is willing to work late nights and after-dark events

• Can capture authentic moments, not just polished footage

 

Bonus points if you:

• Have experience shooting live music or festivals

• Have your own gear

• Understand nightlife and music culture

• Have experience with reels, TikTok edits, YouTube content and fast-turnaround social media content

This role is based in Brisbane, Australia.
